Co-Curricular Activities

Library

There is a very good Library attached to the school. It is stocked with daily newspapers, encyclopedias, reference books on all subjects of interest to the pupils. Pupils are requested to use the Library to their best advantage. Books lost or soiled while in the pupil’s custody will have to be made good by the pupil by paying its cost and a fine thereon. The school has a class Library system. Books are issued to pupils every week. The Library is open to pupils for their general and special reference reading. The time for each class is notified on the notice board by the Librarian.

Campus Work

Under this scheme, training is given to the pupils in self-reliance and for improvement of the school in various directions. The inculcation of the dignity of manual labour finds a prominent place in this scheme.

Students Magazine

A magazine ‘Reflections’ with English, Sanskrit, Marathi, and Tamil sections is published each year. The Magazine creates an interest in the art of writing and reading. Pupils may contribute original work of writing and any other interesting features for the magazine.

Student’s Association (Manavar Mandram)

This is a Pupil’s cultural forum. Training in literary activities and fine arts is encouraged by the forum:

  • By organizing lectures of eminent personalities.
  • By holding literary and debate meetings among the pupils themselves.
  • By preparing them for presenting variety entertainment programs.
  • By organizing competitions in art, craft, music, dance, and drama from time to time.

Educational Films

There is a facility for students to view educational and informative films during the academic year, which is free of cost.
